Excellent advice!
How can someone so big in the game of golf know absolutely nothing about
the golf swing. He ruins world class golfers on a daily basis he should not
be trusted to look at a golfer let alone make a comment on one. Bad
instruction is the number one killer in golf he should be ashamed.

@jamer8 Please forget Hank Haney, he will screw your swing up!! Many
instructors think they have the keys but most can’t even tie their own
fricking shoe laces!! My suggestion is learn the basics(fundamentals) and
leave the idiot coaches in the dust!!!
@bocephusnation0 Well, lucky for you, he doesnt teach privately. His
reason… He said it himself, he doesnt believe a golf lesson should cost
over $500/hr since he knows 1 lesson will not have a permanent cure. Series
of lessons is what helps a person improve. Oh and FYI, my lesson with
Hank’s instructors are well worth it. They help understand why the ball
does what it does and how to control it. Tiger Woods was basically fired in
a way by Hank.
Hit the ball.
Totally right about Tiger. I went to Vegas for a 3 day school with Butch
harmon, and he told us that one way to get more distance is to SNAP YOUR
LEFT LEG STRAIGHT! I tried it and it hurt. I think its on his dvd’s too.
lower body resists upper body in the backswing? –> “actual” and “modern”
(year 2013) “golf-teaching” does not advise this movement any more.
Ive been going back and forth on this but, he’s right, the hips resist on
the back swing and the lower body drives the down swing. I’ve had issues
with my upper body controlling the downswing which results in an erratic
game on the course although it looks great on the range. working the lower
body on the down swing ensure a smooth transition and weight shift.
what an ignorant statement
@xblacqx that’s great, you realise his nickname on the actual pga tour is
“the swing killer” right? lol
(I had added more here–a 2 and a 3–but it didn’t post…I’ll wait to see
if it does eventually, and if not I’ll retype…)
He wasn’t “made by Tiger”; he was a prominent coach for 20 years before
Tiger sought him out.
I definitely suck but love the game. Hank is great!
@tagteamchamp81 Injuries ruined Tigers wing. He was always to athletic with
his motions and suffered many injuries with Harmon so he hoped Haney would
give him a smoother swing. Worked for a bit of time but, old habits are
hard to break. He puts way to much pressure on his left knew which still
bothers him
@tagteamchamp81 I agree, Haney royally fucked up Tiger’s swing…I have
been playing this game since I was age 10(now 58) and the one thing you
don’t want to teach someone is the disconnect between arms, hands and hips
on the downswing…that thought will destroy tempo!!!
You people know nothing this is a great tip… Especially if you are
hooking the ball he was dead on, keep the feeling of hands first., butch
taught same thing to tiger you can see it on YouTube 3 out of 7 series…
You trolls know nothing
Do NOT pay attention to his motioning! Incorporate the feel into your own
swing. Don’t try to move it like hes doing it! That is why he gave those
different examples. Hank Haney, just with a few key tips has shaved 10
strokes off of my game with the irons.
