With a pitch you want to return the club head to the ball with your hands above the ball, not way ahead of the ball like most people think. When the shaft is almost vertical at impact the bounce of the club skids off the turf (as opposed to the leading edge digging if your hands were well ahead) and slides the club head underneath the ball and you get a high ball flight with spin. Luke Donald does this very well. DO NOT let the club head pass your hands at impact because then you’ll skull it.

What an obviously full of shit shill you are.

  9. “use the bounce” hahaa such a cheesy ending

  10. Where’s the ball position forward center and are your hands and arms even or slightly ahead of the ball?

  11. Prolly part of a series…
Anyways, the bounce for this clip seems to be important because of his ‘momentum’ swing that he uses for 50 yards. Take a divot with out adding your wrists and it won’t go very far.

  12. Best part was “…use the bounce.” Sadly, no explanation on that!

  13. so do you generally not allow your hands to turn over during a pitch shot?
